Problem with collecting gases with the new rocket system.
I have build a mining rocket, when i send it out into space and mine water or volatiles, it only brings back space ice. When i put the space ice in the ice crusher, it vanishes and i get nothing from a very expensiv trip. Am i doing something wrong or is it not minable at the moment?

Do you have a Stacker in front of the crusher? That could be the problem.

When I send Space Ice through a Stacker, the ice that is automatically ejected from it will not produce any gas when processed in an Ice Crusher. When I eject ice manually from the Stacker, then that ice will produce gas like normal.

What is the temperature around your ice crusher ?

Normal mars surface temperature between -50°C and 19°C. Mostly tested it by temperature below 0°C. Other Gases work fine.

Found a piece stuck in the stacker, which wasn't stackt, put it in the ich crusher, it worked so far. Thanks alot. The problem seems to be that every space ice has different values and when you stack them all values gets deletet. Propebly the same reason you can only pick up one space ice ore with the mining tool.

Hey there, I relayed the problem you observed to the devs' Discord bug channel, and Matty (dev) asks for evidence since this bug was fixed last year.

So:

- Was this in singleplayer or multi?

- Is your game up to date? And are you playing standard version or are you on the Beta channel? What's your game version? Mine is 0.2.4893.22211, which is the most current Beta, you can see that in the main menu when you click "Toggle Changelog" and then look at the top frame of the list. If your game version is "v0.2.4891.22206", then you are on the Release channel (not Beta), and your game is up to date.

- If your game is up to date, can you supply a copy of your savegame in a way that would allow to reproduce the problem (as in, the tester wouldn't first have to build/refill a rocket)?
lightningfire, are you still there?

Do you have any information for the developers?

The world I tested this in was made in version 0.2.4657 (100 day old save) and the Stacker bug happens every time there. So I made a new creative world in 0.2.4892 (current non-beta build) and tested again. I rocket mined some Volatile Space Ice, passed it through a Stacker (setting 100) and then crushed them. This time every Space Ice had gas in it and the yield was exactly 100%

@Ketrix was that on dedicated server ? If so, then I'm suspecting I will need to mine new space ice and existing space ice will still be bugged ?

It was in single player. You could be right about old and new ice being different, I never thought about that.
