Loading Stuck at Registering Prefabs 100%

Since the latest update from today, I cannot load the game. Initially, after re-installing, it is telling me I have a Steam Cloud Sync Error - tried disabling Steam Cloud saves, unsubscribed every single mod, same behavior. The error at the bottom states invalid cast error. Using the F3 button, about 2-3 errors shown, can only screen capture it. Please let me know how to send the screen shot to the devs.

BTW, tried loading beta branch, but in Steam it get stuck at 100% during the updating, never finishing. Would rollback to NONE (for Beta options), game would allow me to launch, and then get stuck at Reg Prefabs 100% with the same above 3 exceptions.

Interesting - POSSIBLE WORKAROUND

Once stuck, hit F3 to get debug access - used HELP to see list of commands. I ran RESET - application restarted - prior to registering prefabs, it kinda froze for a few seconds, however then screamed through Registering Prefabs, and other loading messages, including Clean Up Prefabs. Now at main menu - can start any game on any planet - my saves are all missing, possibly because I have Steam Cloud saves still disabled. Will try to re-enable that and then try with mods. However, even if I start a NEW game, if I exit game and restart I run into the same loading issue, requiring use of the debug RESET command every time.

Mods can work with this workaround as well. I had a problem with Steam sync the first time, but it later synced ok. Can save, exit, Steam Cloud syncs, and reload game. Trying withe Arrakis mod, seems to work fine so far. However, I am certainly avoiding use of paint gun mods, due to the new update today, I figured they would not be compatible.
