I also own Astroneers, this is very little in comparison between these two titles. They both having resource gathering and are set in space, after that I don't think they have much left in common.

Ok thanks. I'll consider that.

I'd concur with JeanDeaux's analysis, while Astroneer is about crafting items from gathered resources across multiple planets/moons, Stationeers is more about engineering a base from resources gathered from the surrounding area, a create a base that provides an atmosphere, water, food, water etc. Stationeers has far more depth in the game systems and is still in Early Access, so further development/potential for content releases to go, while Astroneers is a fully released game (has been for a few years now) with ever-diminishing delivery of new content (it's essentially now just trying to keep their in-game cash shop running).

Comes down if looking for casual easy-to-pickup-n-go style gaming, or more in-depth having to learn/work out systems and (at least for now) have a more self-directed game experience.

To be honest and no offence to either style i think i prefer the casual route, Some of these Learn to work out systems can be frustrating to me.

Its what i loved about Astroneers it was just a sit back and relax game, its down fall imo was the empty worlds.

I found Astroneers too simplified, I'd have to look up the last time I even fired that game up. Now there are times I do like to go "mindless" but that takes me to No Man's Sky for that type of game play.

The title that will put this game in 2nd place for me will likely be Kerbal Space Program 2, because Space Ship construction. The perfect title for me would be a marriage of KSP and Stationeers; KSP to "get there" and then Stationeers for after I get there.

Oof Kerbal, ok thank you i own kerbal its funny but way to hard, realistic some what yes, but realism for me sometimes loses the fun.

Have you seen Stranded Alien Dawn? It might be along your style. It's a survival/rescue with a space vibe. Has resource gathering and building without too much technical know how.

Yea i did see that but the price for early access is high..

Also this made me less interested
AN UNFORGIVING WORLD
Stranded: Alien Dawn pushes you and your survivors to the brink. Limited resources, unpredictable weather, illness and hostile alien creatures make it hard to establish a foothold on an unforgiving world. The next challenge is never far away, requiring construction of an increasingly robust base using advanced resources and improved defences.
