Filtration IC-10 Slot
I am in the process of controlling a filtration automation via IC10 and wanted to use the IC10 slot as well.
Somehow I can't find a use for it that makes sense.
Actually, I find it very pointless to control a 10 watt filtration with a 50 watt housing, especially because I need a controller for each gas.

The filtration also acts as a pipe analyzer, or potentially up to 3 pipe analyzers since each pipe connection (input, output1, output2) can be checked separately. The parameters are not visible in the Stationpedia right now, use the configuration cartridge to see them. When the filtration is in idle mode, it will only use 10W even if you have a chip in the IC10 socket.

Can use it to check the filters and turn on a flashing light if they run low. Another use is for a safety valve setup. Simply have the filtration run code that opens a valve if pressure exceeds x. Only uses 10W since a valve doesn't use any power unless turned on.

First of all, thank you for the ideas.
I have decided to display the filters using a diode slider.
It works, but I'm not happy with the colour of the bar and haven't found a way to change it.
It still worked in older videos, am I missing something?

I'm with you on the colors, at some point green changed to white and I'm not a big fan of the white unless I'm trying to do area lighting. I'd love to see a color1 and color2 input option.

In the Cows are Evil's serie "Venus no AC" he wrote a code for the filtration units with an alarm light for each one and a general flashing light for all of them, it's very interesting.

you can paint the diode slides to whatever color you want using the Spray Paint cans

Thank you for your answers!
Unfortunately, it seems that the colour of the slider bar can no longer be changed.
And the solution with the leds and the different colours to indicate the states of the filters is not meaningful enough for me.

That defies logic, but if it works... I'll give it a go when I setup my filter stations. Thanks!

Can you explain a bit?

You can change one color by painting diode slide lamp.

If you want something with different colors, use LED.

I'd like to add on with this using a full atmospheric setup with all gasses being separated out you can also set each unit to serve multiple roles. On my server I have a common line fed by one filter unit serving as a pressure regulation of both raw air (Atmo, Ice, reclaimed) and common line pressure ( Volatiles removed). N2 unit controls base pressure and gas mix. All units have a batch command if selftest (filter type, health ) fail. Waste unit controls temperature and purge alarm if fire detection, etc. Remember batch commands add device control without needing screws. But be mindful of your cable networks.
