Save Gone?

Just went to load my most recent game up and all the saves for it are just gone? Anyone able to help?

Im not sure if my answer will help, but you can try these things

Just wanted to say that my own savegames are okay.
I started a new game about 10 days ago and there have been many updates since but all savegames both quick and manual savegames are still there.

Your savegames localy is located here
C:\Users\xxxYOUR-NAMExxx\Documents\My Games\Stationeers\saves

I also like to recommend to start your game and go into settings and turn on Autosave if its not turned on and make it save the game every example 10 minutes.

Also try to right click the game in steam and change to the BETA version of the game.
After that right click the game again in steam and put a mark in the box with Cloud saves. It could be this is turned off ( i recommend to turn it on )
Maybe that will download something.

If nothing of the above work, then you can be lucky to recover deleted data via some of the free software on the internet
It will be a big help if you can remember what you called your savegame

Already done all of that, there were a bunch of saves it wasn't just one, all of them are just gone for no reason

I had this yesterday. Just get out of the game, restart the computer and restart the game, all my save worlds came back. Hope that helps.

This happened to me too. Create a new game, save it and then exit to main screen. Press the Load Game button again. All my previous saves then showed up. I think it got confused about the save location.

Yeah, for whatever reason it started looking at a different folder for saves, I managed to find the original folder and move the saves in. No idea why it did that.

For anybody who the above does not help i have another save that worked for me:
1. backup your savegames (just some folder somwhere else)
2. delt the world you have been recently played on
3, if now the older games show up again in game you have propely the same problem as me so one of your worlds has been corrupted or at least the last save of this world
the FIX:
4. restore all games from the backup and delet one by one the worlds you last played until the older games show up again.
5. for this corrcupted game in the world wolder you should have the folowing:
a folder: Backup
b file: world.bin
c file: world.xml
d file: world_meta.xmls
delet b,c,d (this is the last corrputed save this is sadly lost )
6. (now all but this world should show up agin)
7. go into the Backup foulder and copy :
b file: world(<higest_number>).bin
c file: world(<higest_number>).xml
d file: world_meta(<higest_number>).xmls
(<higest_number> shold be your last save you can still rescue )
8. rename all the files so the folder looks like in 5 again so:
world(<higest_number>).bin ==> world.bin
etc.
9. now it should work agin
