I like this game just for the building and survival thats in game at this point.
I hope for an option to disable that part of the game.
thats generally called creative mode in other games. this one has it too.
But, I love to build, but also would enjoy having to defend and repair base and ships and such too. Hopefully devs will give options to disable for those who do not want.
Even space engineers got wolves and janky spiders.
In SS13, there are roles for people to fil. Some are engineers, some are commanders, and security, some just cook in the kitchen. You do not need to know how to do any of the things you are not inerested in doing.
If you play as a doctor, you do medical stuff, engineer, engineering stuff, securtiy, securtiy stuff, etc. So I would assume by applying that to this game, they are going to add in a lot of stuff that is not just what you personally might enjoy, but stuff for all the various roles that will be possible in the game.
I am sure if you just want to build a base by yourself and not fight anything, then that will be an option. I enjoy medical stuff, and would love to join a server and do medical stuff and nothing else while on that server. That is also most likely why the new security pass system has been implemented, to allow people to access the areas they need to do their jobs, just like how it works in SS13.
So do not freak out, I am sure there will be something for everyone and if the devs pull it off like SS13 does it, then this game will be amazing.
I highly recommend anyone enjoys stationeers to watch a video on space station 13 on youtube. Check out an engineering (or whatever) SS13 video and you will see what I am talking about better.
Creative mode will always be a thing, and the game should ultimately be enjoyable no matter what combination of challenges you want to include, be it just building/planning, or with survival against the environment and player/non-player antagonists.
