Have you tried the atmospheric kit to make the A/C units? I've had good luck with them too.
Also what is the pressure of the pollutants in your cooler? This will change how quickly it moves heat outside of your base.

Do you have the valve between the condensor and evaporator on all the time? If so, that's the issue. You have to let the pollutants in the condensor cool to below 0 before it'll be most effective.
So this shows my greenhouse from the top down. its on a draft(draught) mode currently. the air is leaving the greenhouse from the right side by the planters going outside to one radiator. it then enters a CO2 filter which recycles the CO2 back to the greenhouse and all other gasses go left through the big radiator pipe.

This is the ground view, there are 2 radiators on the CO2 return, all others go left to the main gas processing area.

this is the main radiator pipe. upstream of the radiators is the greenhouse and the furnace dump in. in the middle of the radiator pipe is the little furnace inlet for gasses mostly. then they continue to the left side for gas filtering/sorting.
I get that there isn't much cooling on my CO2 gas recycle. but the bigger issue is when I dump the furnace into the pipe, I get ZERO cooling from the radiators.
Also, I had a simple loop of X gas going from the green house with 5 radiators to the outside with 5 radiators and the valves were always just open. It dodn't work so I dissasebled it.

If you wanted to use something similar to what you're doing now you'll need to use around 30 radiators to get any appreciable cooling.
If you're trying to cool furnace gasses you'll need something like 40 radiators and about half an hour for them to reach 0 C.

To my amazement the water stayed in the box and helped cool the indoors.
If you're on Mars it's not necessary to shield your radiators from the sun. The cold atmosphere negates the sun's effects.
Radiators are also resource intensive, unfortunately. Which I'm sure is why you are short on them.
That's an interesting idea! I'm curious--did it continue to be effective over time (in-game days)?

...and you could scale up this idea to hold and cool much more gas too if you wanted.
I have 30 radiator inside and 30 outside.
A valve in between and its charged with x.

Yes it still worked over time. Although after the base cooled i didnt really pay much attention.
Initialally,
It was taking a long time (1hour or so)for the outdoor radiators to cool. When i did the ice thing they cooled instantly the first time.. then after 5 min or so.
It was an interesting problem.
Also.. if you let out hydrogen in really hot room it splodes.. lol
I've since modified the design to be more efficient. 10 radiators inside, 30+ outside.
