Advanced Airlock Slave

I'm trying to setup a slave console for my airlock, I have an advance airlock using blast doors. The Master airlock console is working fine, airlock cycles as it should in both directions without issue. When I open it's config with the disk, and set one of the consoles I've setup with their own advanced airlock circuit boards they become slaves, but the display is greyed out, the pressure doesn't update, it always says 0, and it can't be interacted with.

If I use an regular airlock circuit board on a slave it says error in config, so clearly there's an issue here. Am I missing a needed step, or what? I followed the same steps shown in all the guides, that has always worked for making the airlock work for me, but stuff on Slave consoles is pretty vague.

alternatively you can setup a pressure plate or motion sensor with basic ic logic too. i need to do the same thing on my base so ill check today

i got it to work. you setup the console like normal but also click the make slave to the console inside your airlock so it basically syncs the data with each other.

What do you mean? You mean don't make it a slave, set it up like a normal airlock console, and THEN make it a slave? That seems silly, none of the guides mention it, but I'll give it a go. I don't want to use a pressure plate because I don't want it to cycle everytime I walk near the door, or if I'm moving more objects than I can carry by throwing them about when moving in and out of the airlock.

you setup 2 consoles like you would normally. then you go to the one console you want to be the master over all the others. i used the one inside the airlock and you stick in the data disk and click make slave on all the other consoles listed. this will slave the other consoles to just that one. if you stick the data disk in the other consoles itll show the word master to the one in my airlock

if you do this in any other order it can and frequently did bug the hell out of the airlock motherboard. once the motherboard is bugged thats it, its garbage gotta make a new one to reset. one even made the game crash lol

So only the inside or the 2 on the outside the airlock as well ?
