Mars atmos and advanced door control
Hello all

i have check several tutorials and i could still not acheive a good design for Advanced door control to a room with so a entry of 1*1 and 2 doors

I tried first to add 2 actives vents in the sas, and 2 passives (one outside and one in the end room) with only 1 pressure sensor inside sad. and no link between the 2 like on this wiki

https://stationeers-wiki.com/Guide_(Airlock)_Atmosphere_to_Atmosphere

issue is that as soon i open the interior door all the prressure disapear. I tried with 4 actives vents, i tried with sensors everywhere and now i could not get any pressure in last room so i really dont understand with "mars" sample how to do it

is it possible with only 1 sas or should i have 2 sas ?

First: have you already done the in-game airlock tutorial? That tutorial is pretty straightforward.

An advanced airlock always creates a vacuum in the lock before switching from one atmosphere to another.

Is your interior room already pressurized? If it still has the default Mars atmosphere (+/- 2,7 kPa) the lock won't really do anything. Try dropping some Oxite indoors to build up pressure and keep track with your datapad.

Is your Advanced Airlock circuit board set up correctly in the console? It helps to label your doors and vents.

Thanks for reply Killiberke

seems i could not figure out what tutorial is about this. The Atmospheric tutorial just stop after dropping ice so no detail on airlocks

Yes i have about 2Kpa everywhere. Even when i put 0 to exterior it will try to depressurize.

Thing is that it will work more or less at end putting expected 20K in SAS OR Interior but will not keep Both at 20K at end so i allways get 15 in interior and loose few K each turn. I am using now another console in interior room to keep 100k after SAS

Thanks Ggfirestorm, it's a good design and with less issues obviously than the advanced control. I beleive for advanced i need to combine with one extra "air control" inside room but untill i get time and ressources, will try this one

It's the tutorial called 'Basic Airlocks'. Literally. Don't forget you can scroll down in the tutorial menu.

New airlock tutorial is good, working fine with "airlock" chip. I tried to switch with an Advanced Airlock but i am not really sure what it will add at end (i have to add few gaz sensors, another active vent, disable the room ones ...)

Maybe you should start a creative mode game and just build airlock until your happy with them. It is great training. / key to search component to spawn in and f9 key to spawn.
It helps alot to build without fear of death while learning the essentials.
Just don't go on a public server to learn the basics.

seems i figured out anyway with advanced, so after reading again and again it's rather an "exchange" from one exteriour (room or not) and one interior, so the interior one need obviously his own pressure system or it fail from what i tested. but anyway all concept here are working fine and more or less difficults.

Happy to hear that. Good luck with your next system to learn.
