An advanced airlock always creates a vacuum in the lock before switching from one atmosphere to another.
Is your interior room already pressurized? If it still has the default Mars atmosphere (+/- 2,7 kPa) the lock won't really do anything. Try dropping some Oxite indoors to build up pressure and keep track with your datapad.
Is your Advanced Airlock circuit board set up correctly in the console? It helps to label your doors and vents.
seems i could not figure out what tutorial is about this. The Atmospheric tutorial just stop after dropping ice so no detail on airlocks
Yes i have about 2Kpa everywhere. Even when i put 0 to exterior it will try to depressurize.
Thing is that it will work more or less at end putting expected 20K in SAS OR Interior but will not keep Both at 20K at end so i allways get 15 in interior and loose few K each turn. I am using now another console in interior room to keep 100k after SAS

It helps alot to build without fear of death while learning the essentials.
Just don't go on a public server to learn the basics.
