Bring back the automated hydroponic station.
First motherships, now farms. What the hell? Stop removing content.

Version 1.
After harvesting it would restock the unit, stack all the extra crops then send them to storage (this build was completed pre traders) eventually the chute issues where it would throw items everywhere, meant it was easier for me to me dismantle it to start again with the hydroponics stations that have grow lights.

Version 2.
After harvesting it would restock the unit, stack all the extra crops then send them on an alternating pattern using a sorter to either food production storage or to my trading station, (This one has now been broken due to crops not harvesting, input hatch locking shut and not being able to open without dismantling, and crops being dropped inside the machine)

I've not used the Harvie and would rather not to be honest as it requires sunlight to actually work I prefer my hydroponics system to be in a room without windows as I find it easier to control room temperature without windows.

If they make a version of Harvie with a glow light i'd consider using it but would prefer to keep the automated hydroponics unit as an end game option due to personal preference.

I shall be keeping my dismantled automated hydroponics kits in storage just in case it's fixed but also knowing it will likely be gone for good from survival.

Also I know some of you will say HaRvIe but you'd miss the point. Feature-strip is a crap practice.

What IS the point? I guess they are trying to do some balancing. The game is early access and I guess features will be coming and going, but I tend to think the end result will be good.

They use auto-harvest arm replace station.

AutoHydroponic Station can serve a useful purpose - make it so you can use it in a non-pressurized environment as long as you pump it with not just water but also the gasses required by the plants you want to grow. Basically, an enclosed garden capable of autoharvest that you can even use outside (as long as it has power, which it eats a lot of to keep things warm and to auto-harvest.)

Serves a purpose that HaRviE does not, and also allows you a nice end-game tech for outposts and colonies you don't have room/supply for pressurization.

The automated hydroponics station can could also be used to make a fully automated farm, I'm not sure if it's possible now. I personally never used any kind of automation for crops, just the default hydroponics tray that comes in the lander. Since I play single player, not much food is needed. Also, this way I find the game more challenging and more fun. But I guess everyone has his own preferences. In either case, it seems that it's time you build a pressurized greenhouse :)
