Has anyone figured out the portable tank connector?

I'm currently building some gas mixing chambers for the furnace and noticed that oxite contains 10% nitrogen. So I wanted to filter that out into a portable tank instead of building another gas chamber since I had the connecter built beforehand. However I can't figure out how the portable tank can be attached, the outline of the connector also shows a long pipe arm that is missing when it is placed. So I'm assuming it has to be upgraded somehow but I can't find what I have to use.

Oh I had to move the tank on it and wrench it. Coming from SS13 I should've thought of that. Thanks a lot though.
