Refilling Canisters
I have the Portable Tank (Oxygen), but I can't find a device that connects that to my Cannister (Oxygen).

Also, can I use oxygen to pressurise my jetpack cannister instead of Nitrogen?

Theres a platform that you can use to wrench the portable cannister to. Then you can hook it up to any pipe system.

This is what I'm trying to connect. Which platform is it, because it doesn't connect to that square thing on the floor. Imgur Screenshot [imgur.com]
That square thing is for the huge canisters, not the inventory canisters. There's a separate item for inserting inventory canisters - I haven't played around much with the atmospherics yet so I can't help you beyond that
Indeed, my fault. I thought you meant the portable tanks. The canisters are stuffed into the "Gas tank storage".
Thanks guys, I'll check it out when I log back on.
You can just stuff the canister in the yellow bit on the portable tank directly if you're really low-fi about it.

Also I think you can use whatever you want for the jetpack.
Funny achievment: Use a volatile gas for the jetpack when welding frames! =)
This was my solution in the end, thanks: Imgur [imgur.com]

I've just ran out of Fuel for my Welder. What's required to fill a new tank? The current tank is labelled as "Canister (Fuel)". I think I have a system setup where I would Drop Frozen Gases in Furnace > Run through Pressure Regulator > Valve > Gas Tank Storage. I'm just not sure about ratios, pressure etc...

Hardly (prominent pioneering user here and author of a great guide to this game) just posted recently saying a 2:1 ratio of volatile ice and oxite ice should give you the desired 66% H2 and 34% O2 for welding. But...how to get it to pressurize and go into your tank without exploding is not clear to me.

Because, you use the same mixture in the furnace to light off your iron+coal= steel reaction.
The welder tank you start with is pressurised to 5713 kPa. I haven't done much work with fancy gas processing yet, but with a combination of pressure regulators and volume pumps I suspect you should be able to pump gasses out of the furnace and into the tanks, but cut out before you overpressurise it. Just don't hit the Big Red Button on the furnace will there's a combustible mix in there.

Another major approach to gas handling I've heard described is to have a small airtight room with an air scrubber in it. Release the ices in there, put the correct filters on the air scrubber, and wait until it sucks them all up. Then mount the scrubber on a pipe connector (a base that you can wrench down the portable atmo devices to) to connect it to your piping system and drain it.

Let us know what technique you use and how well it worked!
iMonsters, I like the simplicity of your canister refilling setup. But I must ask, what is the equilibrium pressure of (both) canisters when you open all valves? The oxygen canister needs to be at about 5500 or maybe it was closer to 6000 kPa to be considered fully charged.

The most I've been able to get a canister to, using a furnace in my previous world, was about 3300 kPa but I could probably get it higher.

Ooo, use a room as a tank. I like it!
Just heard a new technique on the discord --- use an active vent -> pipe -> gas tank holder, fill the room with the gas mix you want, turn on the vent, voila! (credit to @PaulV who suggested this)

You forget to add that you need the sun for that, too. So fill the room at night (chutes are cool) and let the sun melt the ice during day!
Still working on an "underground edition" with heaters instead of the sun...

@Limmin: "I like the simplicity of your canister refilling setup." It would be even easier to just stuff the canister in the portable tank (you can insert one when you hover it over the yellow bit on the portable tank).
