ground under character explode at random
as said in the title, I expirence the ground explode under my feet at random. Leaves a hole, tried to get away after save....Ground explodes even if I got away from base, character jump quite a distance.

Your welder is exploding. Cant use or have your welder out in the sun, even on your belt.

Funny how I haven't experienced this after 6 hours ingame.
And I'm glad. This sound like one of those "Not fun or even makes sense... It's there just because"-features.

Not sure if the volatile welder is really fixed.... It should, but I saw some explosions yesterday.

Welder was fixed in a patch yesterday. Start a new game. I've had mine on my tool belt for hours and it has yet to explode this time. Was fun trying to rush build a small shack to shade it before it exploded. But it is much better now.

Mine is still in a diggy hole under my base and only gets out at night... scary little bast3rd... =)

The canister in my welder burst just now. I don't think there was a big explosion or I would've noticed since it was always on me. It seems it may take a lot longer to heat up now, but it's still better to not have it in the sun.

As I guessed. The welder tank is still bugged. Just seems to heat up much slower..

Why are people calling it a bug? Isn't thermodynamics supposed to be a thing in this game?

Yes, from what I understand it is not a bug. They just toned it down a bit.

I found a way around the situation, I remove the gas cannister and put it into one of those startup chests until I need the welder.

Im so happy i randomly read this. I was wireing outside on the solar and BOOM i was far high in the sky. Turned on the jetpack so i could land safly to se a HUGE hole where i was standing. I was scared from that moment on what have i managed to do now! What is leaking?!. Happend again later on in my base without walls. I understand now, actually laughing of it now. Sneaky welder, gotta love this game
