Temperature Controlled Pipes?
Hey, Internet! I've been working with automated hydroponics and was wondering if the game has a way of temperature controlling pipes without having radiators into a temperature-controlled room. Does anybody have any ideas?

You've got to dump the energy _somehow_. Radiators into an eternally-shadowed evacuated chamber will do it if you've got no other sink, I haven't checked but I think the game doesn't track ground heating, your radiator chamber doesn't have to be open to the sky. But why not do it that way? That's the only way real systems can truly dump excess heat, radiation to space. Anyplace else, you're just finding somewhere else under the rug to sweep it.

As above poster said.
Looks like you'll need to vacuum your base and connect pipe to outside(then fitting radiators on it)
There is a simple trick on passing a pipe to the outside without depressurisation. Just build a frame(airtight) behind the outside wall you need to push pipe through.

I know that I can cool the gas very easy, but my problem is heating the gas for my automated hydroponics so it never over or under heats. Same with the fuel tank, although I can probably keep that frozen.
Furnace heats gases, sun heats gases, wall heater heats gases, anything else?

Should I just get gas from the furnace and put it into insulated pipes, with a valve to lower the temperature.

Ok, I've discovered this amazing thing called an air conditioner. While it isn't convenient for my setup, nor is it power efficient, it works very well to keep my co2 at a reasonable temperature for my plants.

Once your plants start growing the produce heat and O2. Once you get the room to temp. it will generally only go up. Use cool CO2 to cool the room down.
I use a 1x5 "corridor" room full of water...pipe with 6 radiators in my grow room the pipe goes into the water room with 4 radiators on the pipes and it keeps my grow room between 25 35 degrees with about 40 ferns growing. the water corridor has 4 turbines that supply power to one filtration unit outside that pipes water from one end to the other and one filtration unit inside to remove oxygen from the air once it hits 5 percent......basically no power use from main base.

Use the new insulated pipes

Graham I had the same issue where my CO2 and fresh air storage on the roof of the hydroponics was slowly cooling down towards zero kelvin due to being inside a vacuum. My solution was to take a section of the piping for the building that was connected to the air storage, and run it into a 1x1 solid framed room with a passive vent. Fully sealed iron frames can withstand any pressure, so in essence the room itself became part of the storage tank. However inside the room you can place a wall heater and a gas sensor so with a little logic it just kicks on for half a second to keep the temp normal. More efficient than an AC that you need to provide heated air with anyway

I think I actually took a sealed iron room to about 40MPa and 5000C temp lol
