It's a little confusing to me, because oxite and volatiles are normally the fuel to make steel (which I have done). Are you saying I just skip the "add iron and coal" part, and I'll get water and nitrogen? Do I have to be careful not to add too much oxite or volatiles so they don't get too hot?
-Scott
Like you do when you craft steel, I placed 1 oxite and 2 volatiles in the furnace. The temperature went up, and the gasses present included O2 and H2, but no H2O.
I thought maybe I had to add more oxite and volatiles, so I did, but still no H2O. So I guess there is something I'm not understanding here.

It's boring to just keep looking for ice, so I'll break it up with some other projects. Hopefully I don't run out of food in the meantime. Lately I've been living on baked potatoes and tomato soup!

Now volatiles is like another natural gas clathrate.
