A simple pressurized room
Hello-
I'm on the Moon, and I want to build a greenhouse, but getting there from where I'm at, looks like it will be quite a haul, in terms of the knowledge I will need. I built myself an airlock (1x1x1) attached to a room (3x4x1) with glass walls and a glass roof. Now I have to pressurize the room, and regulate its gasses and temperature.

How to proceed? I tend to do better when I learn things in "baby steps."

So I was thinking I could plunk down a piece of ice; that would sublimate (in sunlight) and create some kind of thin atmosphere in the room, right? Then I could test out the airlock too.

At least that would be a start. I could get CO2 from a used waste canister.

Then I would proceed from there, getting the pressure up, the right gasses, the right temperature (air conditioner?)... Any hints would be appreciated.
-Scott

Edit: I opened a canister of CO2 and got the pressure up to 1 kpa.

You can use a stack oxite ice and the portable airconditioner. Should be at least 25 kpa. Ice only melt when temp over 0°.
U can burn with a arc furnace coal for co2 but you should filter out the x gases with the portable airscrubber. Cause plants dont like x gases. Use the tablet with atmocartridge to control the atmo :)

I ended up using some oxite and some CO2 from a canister. I also installed a permanent A/C unit. I used the tablet and it showed quite a bit of CO2, O2, and N2.

One thing about the airlocks in this game is they want to pressurize until at above 101 kpa. This seems odd to me, because your main room might have a pressure less than that.

This greenhouse I have built has a pressure of only 13 kpa, which should be adequate for a farm. I realize I can press "cancel pressurization," but it seems strange that I have to do that. Is there a way to set a target pressure for an airlock, other than 101 kpa?

You need an advanced airlock for that.
I can give you a 1 on 1 if you let me.

and I have made a logic chip tutorial for your other post.
It will be public shortly.

Ah, advanced airlocks. I remember reading about them, and promptly forgot! I'll look into them again. Thanks.

Yes, use your data disk and click on the pressure itself and adjust. That simple ;)
