How to wear a backpack over a suit?

The backpack is a trade-off. You either have max capacity and no jetpack, or use the jetpack with less space.

The wiki clearly says that he puts on a jet pack. And look at the update there is also clearly drawn

Whichever wiki you're reading from is either incorrect or out of date. There's far too many officially unofficial wikis and many aren't maintained well.

Added Hardsuit Jetpack. Has increased capacity (forteen slots) as well as full jetpack functionality and increased environmental protection for contents. Constructable from the Tool Manufactory.
Added Hardsuit Backpack. This has more slots, but no jetpack capability. Constructable from the Tool Manufactory. Useful where you want more storage space but don't require jetpack.

So it's one or the other.
