Conveyors vs Chutes
Hi. Havent played much of the game yet, but i have a question. What is tje advantage of conveyors over chutes? Cant find anything on the unnoficial wiki and a google search shows up nothing. Thanks

is that all? seems like they should add some sort of advantage. maybe robotic arms to insert into machines, eliminating conplex splits?

Well sure there are some, like you can detect items going along using motion sensors, they don't get stuck like the chutes tend to do.

But other than that, de disadvantages outway the advantages by a big margin.
The are slow, can't go up very well, can't go through walls and they need power.

I can't think of anything else. I only use them, because they look fancy and chute junctions are bugged as hell 😂

The biggest advantage for me is that their movement and direction can be controlled. drop an item on a single conveyer block then make it move forward or backward one tile into a chute on either end and voila you've just achieved a programmable chute splitter, something that is currently imposible with regular chutes

It can transport bodies, crates and other portables.
