Stationeers is about building complex bases. In Astroneer you setup a small modular outpost (no interiors) and expand on it until you have the tech to travel to several planets (with different biomes) in the solar system where you can start the process again.
Stationeers is in early development while Astroneer is going through an iteration phase, improving and expanding on the game.
Stationeers is much different. You build everything on your own with own designs and ideas.
It does seem that astroneers is farther along, but looks a little more... simple.
Kinda of a relaxed explore and gather, as opposed to a survive and build, please correct me if i'm wrong.
Youtube is your friend :D ... honestly its one of the best ways to get "first impressions" and a better idea at what a game is as well as its scope and features.

Astroneer (COOP) .. 6 gets boring fast..
Stationeers (COOP).. 8 doesnt get boring for a loooooooong time
both are fun to play. The SANDSTORMS in astroneer are awesome by the way.. you need shelter during one or you die
I do agree with everthing else though, this game is more survival and system focused, ASTRONEERS is more exploration and tech development.
OP - Astroneers has more of a sense of real early minecraft (pre-redstone update), more fun with more friends but as a solo game it will only give you 10 to 20 hours of unique feeling gameplay (it is still being developed as well and I am sure that the love the Devs of Astroneer pour into the game will yield great rewards). Stationeers is more like RedStone with minecraft on the side. It is very technical, and the logic programming to create automation is very reminicient of some of the things you do in Factorio. Stationeers is alot like being a harware engineer. Always trying to do more with less Resources/Space. Stationeers is also in development (very active development 5 updates or more a week usually) I find it very fun to play a game as it develops, makes the game feel more organic. That being said Stationeers is still very early in development and updates frequently introduce game breaking bugs, but they are usually swiftly squashed. I agree with earlier posts Youtube is your friend, you will need some coaching and the Keyboard Interface is dense, and takes a bit to get used to, but very rewarding as you become proficient.
Hah, I wish. *wants custom dessignable PCBs, airlock electronics, and keypad software*
content. When you have researched all or most of the tech it gets boring very quick.
Hopefully there make more new content before release !
