There is a key binding you can find in the parameters/controls for third person: left shift...
But I just tried it and it doesn't seem to work for me.
EDIT: Sorry, it does work!!! you have to press left shift while using your mouse wheel to get into third person mode and adjust the distance...
Sounds great and thx let me know
how does that work I am curious about the science.
I ask because 3rd person still has the same 3D motion as first person, in fact its literally just moving the camera back a little bit and putting a toon in the middle of the screen. maybe that is its, a point of focus.
any science info on this condition?
I can't tell you why since i am not doctor and scientist but i really feel headache when i play 1st person view games esp. VR games. I just can tell you about my feeling when i play them: All things keep move and roll /turn around fast in front of my eyes and then i feel sick and headache after i play it over 15 mins (VR) and 30 mins (1st person view game). So , i feel sad that i can't enjoy VR games since they looks so fun .
ok fair enough.
as a side note VR games and 1st person view games are RADICALLY different when it comes to motion sickness and headaches.
I am just curious about 1st person to 3rd person because unlike VR games those two styles are actually very similar when it comes to motion.
but if you dont know the name or science behind it that is fine and understandable I was just curious.
and as a side note i think all games should have the option for both with some execptions like ARMA series for eample
Thank ! I can't express such feeling so well since i am Chinese and i always suffer from it when i played 1st person view game over around 30 mins but i glad i can still handle with this game. Since i keep change 1st/3rd person view in order to finish different tasks and don't need to take relative medicine.
It is so wonderful game and still learn how to makes solar power keeps works atm. (Since the battery can't be charged well) don't know why.
I can't say I'm suffering from first person games, but I think you're right, the fact that you look at a central object (the character, you) at the center of the screen (or wherever) makes much less "pression" on the eyes.
I often stop playing for a few seconds, or look at something in the room, or even outside because I feel it's a bit tiresome for my eyes.
All this depends on the type of game, the number of objects moving in view, FPS, depth of view, angle and so on, and...... devs skill to code wisely I suppose..... I played a couple of games where third person was much worse than first person!
I find out we can't play this game in 3rd person view only. So i just play in 1st person view when i place cable wire, set up things and play in 3rd person view in remaining situation.
try to rotate cabling and setting up a cable line in a hallway in 3rd person view....
think on that!
