One small question/concern about the DLC (Robotics)
To preface this isn't a post complaining about DLC, I am just hoping to gain a little bit of insight about long term implications of the robots.

Somewhere long down the line if Robotics and to some extent in this case Medical makes it into the game how will those systems work with the Robot DLC race?
using SS13 as a baseline, as a general rule required anything human controlled to require a brain hooked up to an interface (even the MoMMI on a certain server). Will players using the robot DLC have a regular organic brain? or a unique electronic brain with limitations/advantages?

What about androids/cyborgs?
Once again will they function similarly to SS13 or will they be a more generic version of the HEM droid?
If Robotics/Medical eventually make it into the game how will those systems interact with the HEM droid?

I don't expect a full answer, I'm just looking for a tentative "sortakinda" type of thing.

Even if Robotics/Medical is planned I don't expect to see it for quite some time.
There are greater priorities at the moment and feature creep is to be wary of as it has killed every SS13 inspired game prior.

We haven't even really discussed this, but as we stated about the new species - they were a bit off to the side of what we already had planned for the game. I'd say our tentative plan for them will be to include them into new systems where it makes sense and is relatively trivial in terms of effort, but given how they're placed amongst the existing game I wouldn't assume things like medical will include special rules for them.

When i say 'where its trivial in terms of effort' I mean things like medical would likely let you switch the special lungs Zirilians have, simply because they already existing as their own 'lung' object as far as the game is concerned. It would likely be easier for us to include versus making special rules to prevent it.

Sounds good to me.

Now that I think about it I do think I remember positronic brains (non organic electric brains) were a thing in SS13, So I guess in when in doubt look there for inspiration haha.

Thanks for the fast reply, that's exactly the type of answer I was looking for.
I wasn't expecting considerations to go too far anyways given the current priorities. It was just a curiosity.

I came expecting ranting and all we got were rational sensible questions....very disappointing.

You would think the Zrilians would get knocked out with CO2 for surgery, since they exhale N2O. It seems like a way to maintain broken bot parts on damaged robot players would be good, too. I'm sure it would involve some alloys for them. All in all, it has potential.

I'm changing my review on your logic to BAD!!!!!!!!, wait did I get enough bangs in there? No one, who is semi rational, reads this and thinks oh man right on....

But people see the mostly negative and that's enough for the most people to turn away. I'm a old gamer and I'm sick of this way to get more money

Yeah we know, you plastered your feelings all over the place, breeeeeathe.

Plenty of positive reviews in there, new ones at that. Sorry to burst another one of your myths.

The DLC is fine, especially the context behind it (read the news for the update), there's no reason to spurge out over it.
The implications it had to future core systems (Robotics and Medical interaction with the HEM droid) was primary concern, but I don't think it will be an issue now.

I have a friend and we station together, he plays the robot DLC and had plenty of positive and negative things to say about it. I didn't buy it yet, but obviously everything here is a work in progress.
