Active Vent slightly bugged?
I have the following issue: Everything works fine. The vent and the pump behind it pump the gases out of them room.

Than I save. Exit the game. Come back and continue. And then the following happens: Sometimes the active vent does nothing even if power is manually activated (power and pipes were okay). I need to switch to outward and than back to inward. Than it works normally.

The rest of the game the vent continues to work as expected.

This is actually the reason why I asked about the passiv vent because the active seems to work unreliable.

I'me having this issue as well with switches logic writers and active vents. I have to manually remove and replace the vent and toggle it in out to get it to work

Actually this problem was fixed some days ago. Must be something else.

It sounds you may write to the wrong property, maybe "Lock"? Or On?. Please be aware the latest update also changed some property names, e.g. "Power" is removed it's now allways called "On". In addition to that, all scripts on computers change to the next entry, which is "Lock". So instead if Power true|false you might have Lock true|false. Very bad, because you have to rebuild it because it's locked. They should made the update in that way that all "Power" properties revert to "On" not to the next possible entry, maybe than there would not be any issue.

I have one switch set to operate a logic writer to ON, this turns the vents on and off. I have a second switch set to operate a logic writer for MODE, this changes them from in to out (little blue switches go from blue to red and vice versa)

I toggle these switches and see the vents operate properly, they turn off and on and go from in to out, nothing changes with pressure in the room. The pipe behind the active vent has 850kpa in it. The vents are locked due to being operated by a switch.

As soon as i remove the vent and replace it and toggle it manually on and change the red switch to blue, the room floods with gas. I just built all of these logic switches and vents today. with the new update. none of this was from a previous save.

switches are working for now after I fiddled with replacing them. I'll post back if it happens again.

Definitely some bug still exists. Taking a simple active vent inside an airlock to a passive vent outside the airlock flashes error. Save, exit, reload and it's fixed. So something the reload does that fixes it.

I am definitely noticing lots of things that don't appear to be saving their states correctly or are not properly initializing. I've had issues with Active Vents, Logic Circuits, and Stackers. They require destruction and re-creationg to be fixed. It's definitely annoying.

Same issue here...The switch and logic are all correct and working but the mode will only change the color of the button on my active vent NOT the Operation of the vent. IE the vent will be showing inwards but still operating in outwards...

Same issue (?) here. I was starting a new base (beta branch) and wanted to vent the gas out of my furnace. I plopped down a few pipes, added an active vent and wired it up. When I turned on the power, it flashed an error, even if I toggled the inward/outward switch. Had I read this I would have tried saving/reloading to see if that fixed the problem, but I ended up dismantling it instead.
