How to make glass walls?
Is it not possible to build iron walls with glass, using the iron wall kits you begin the game with? Or are you supposed to build a different set of iron walls in the fabricator later?

  1. Construction Kit (Walls)
  2. Enter build mode
  3. Use mouse wheel to select a different type
  4. Add Iron Sheet
  5. Add Glass Sheet

does the solar panel provide power when built inside with surrounded by glass walls/ceiling (if possible) ?

I'm not able to get this method to work. No window options or glass ceilings for me. Tried with all tools in hand. Tried with and without applying iron sheets to the wall first. No joy.

Anyone been able to build glass walls/windows?

After you build the wall kit in the lathe, then when you put the wall kit in hand and right click, scroll mouse wheel to glass window. After you put it up, put iron sheets in one hand and glass sheets in other hand then do iron sheet first then do glass, no need for any tools.

Ohhh, do you mean the "Construction Kit (Walls)" recipe in the autolathe, as opposed to the "Kit (Iron Wall)" that you start out with?

Yes, you have to make it with the autolathe.

It does seem that a solar panel within a greenhouse enclosure would receive same power output. Tested via 1 solar panel under glass ceiling, one open atmo. both had identical readouts

I had problems building windows as well at first because it's inconsistent building:
- You need Steel for the Kit
- You need Steel Sheets for the Wall
- You need Iron Sheets for the Windows Frame << This one is out of place
- You need Glass for the Window

I would change the Iron Sheets to Steel Sheets for windows.
+ More Consistent, peoples build the walls, come to the windows and suddently it's not possible to build the white frame with it
+ Resources are 1/2 because steel sheets needs less material (it's fair because you need glass as well)
