Black Screen on Start Up [FIXED]

I have 30+ hours in this game from playing over the last few years. I put it down for long while and upon returning i can no longer boot the game. Same computer, same account.

Upon opening it just goes to a black screen and never progresses. FPS counter says 144.

My PC Specs:
CPU - Ryzen 5 1600
GPU - GTX 1060 6gb
RAM - 16gb ddr3 2133mhz
Windows 10 - Home edition

Fixes attempted:
Verifying game files found 170 missing files, these were downloaded.
Installed windows media player (recommended from another support thread)
tried switching to / running in windowed mode, it stayed in fullscreen.
tried running in compatibility mode Windows 8, 7, and Vista
Finally, Fresh install of the game, still experiencing the same issue.


After trying all of this I finally fixed it! The solution? Plugging in some headphones.
Apparently having no speakers or headphones plugged in was causing a bug for the game to initiate. As soon as i plugged in headphones and rebooted the game worked flawlessly.

Tried all of this and nothing happens.
My PC is still rebooting after the Steam logo, after the Unreal Logo.
