Controller Confusion [SOLVED]

I've been having some issues with the controller for the game.

So for this and other moderny games, I went and picked up a wireless Xbox controller (Win10 one).

Long story short though, I seem to be having some issues with it? I did go into Big Picture mode and configure it to steam, that seems fine, but it looks like the game is wanting to register it as a wireless STEAM controller instead?

So what happens is only about half the buttons seem to work? Mostly, I lose access to camera controls mostly. The whole (bottom) right stick does nothing. The emotion panel isn't active either. </3

Any advice on how I can get it to pick up on the controller properly?

That's weird o: does your controler work for other games? Also are you sure you can use it for PC? I use a wired xbox 360 controler but I know most 360 controlers don't work on PC unless they are usb and wired.

It shoouuuld work fine for other games, though i haven't had the time to try many. Its the Xbone wireless one, it says it should work for any games that support wireless 360 but the drivers are made for WIN10, which should be fine on the machine I'm using it with.

Edit: Okay or it isn't using the right stick on other games too. I tried YookaLaylee but I wasn't familiar with the controls. So I tried Shelter because I've played the mess out of that in the past. Right stick def isn't being picked up on. Something's not right with the controller. Either its not detecting it proper or defective :| Time to troubleshoot.

FOUND IT.
All internet searching said to manually update it, but that wasn't it at all. [it wouldn't even let me update it, it said it was all up to date already]
Apparently the only way to fix it was to untick XBOX controller support in Big Picture mode in steam. It shows up as a generic XInput controller now but it works??? Strange but at least it works now.
