Hey everyone!

Welcome to the official Community Hub for Gumball and the Shrink Ray! The Steam page is officially live, and we couldn't be more excited to open up the doors and share what we’ve been building.

Whether you're an old friend from the first game or stumbling into Trick-or-Treat Land for the very first time, here’s the setup:

Everyone in town has caught shrink ray fever, thanks to an aggressive ad campaign by Mussty's Shrink Shop and the shadowy Board of Directors pulling the strings. Gumball was perfectly content snoozing in his vending machine until an SOS from a panicked marshmallow scientist dropped him right into the northern frontier. Now, with his best pal locked inside the corporate fortress at Shrink HQ, Gumball has to grab a janky Junk Ray, rally a team of weirdos, and shut the operation down.

Get your first look at the game in our official reveal trailer:

• 70+ Recruits, Infinite Combinations: Nearly every opponent you bump into can join your side. Assemble squads of three and swap members at Shrink Terminals to counter whatever the frontier throws at you.

• Mood & Momentum Battle: Brute force won't get you far. Win battles tactically by altering an enemy’s MOOD to throw them off balance, or build up your own MOMENTUM to steal extra turns.

• Shrink Down to Explore: Blast yourself with the shrink ray to explore secret side-scrolling micro-levels hidden inside the overworld, packed with crumbs, secrets, and rare bug companions.

• A Living, Shifting World: 12 sprawling regions that evolve in real time, featuring distinct day-and-night color palettes, shifting wild encounters, and roaming NPCs.

• Classic Handheld Spirit: A 15–25 hour RPG crafted in the spirit of Earthbound, Paper Mario, and the classic portable adventures of the early 2000s. And yes- an actual physical Game Boy Color cartridge is on the way alongside the Steam release!

Hear directly from solo developer Adam Lewis Graf (Exquisite Laundry Pet) in the video above as he shares the inspirations behind the project and a behind-the-scenes look at development.

Development is in full swing, which means all footage and screenshots are still actively evolving.
