This game...requires the internet...?
So, I simply thought this was similar to dark souls in that without internet that you are basically in a offline type of mode...nope
Was doing a base dig and had a min left and the game JUST so happens to decide several seconds of no connection counts and it exits me to the menu...
Only thing I gotta say is, what the holy hell is wrong with the game if you need internet to play solo.

Anti piracy and anti cheat in SP it seems, after all MGS5: GZ and TPP have been cracked even with Denuvo wich have pleased MGS community.....

Btw this is 2018, if you don't have a good internet you can't play online games, digging is considered online since even when you pause the wave still continue, same for ressourcess.

If you dont know Steam itself(and games on it anyway) need internet conection to work.
So I dont get it why there is complain here.

I knew the pause didnt happen for the digging waves, but its still extremely irritating at least for you to be doing a dig only for you to be doing good, dig has a min left, then it kicks ya out.
I still won it fortunely...still a bit mad over the fact of it though. And I guess that is the ONLY way for the game to not get cracked, since you can't crack games that are labeled as "multiplayer" due to online issues and etc.

I HAVE a internet connection, the only issue is that for some reason the connection goes blank for several seconds give or take a couple times of the day, so...got no full control over that, and never found it a issue since again...only lasts for several seconds.

Yeah, it's utter bollocks. It kicks you off even if your internet is working! I had this loads so I started a continuous ping to google and got kicked off twice without even losing a single packets (which sh its over any tw ats spouting crap about "Get a good internet connection" ...how about konami get good servers!). FuKonami!

it is not the game's fault.
internet packet loss is a problem for a lot of ppl.
Steam and your internet provider (sometimes even your modem) is the cause. Not the game.
don't bring your hate about SurVive to the forum.
we have enough trolls to worry about.
Yeah, it's garbage. It'd be cool if they had some sort of offline-online system like MGTPP but no.

FOB disconnects were still present in MGSV so offline/online system is not a solution.
once u got to end game, FOB was everything and internet packet loss was still an issue.
internet connection was the problem, not TPP.

And? That's FOB. Not everyone touched FOB. It'd be nice to have an offline-online system for the campaign itself.

I'm talking about MGV needing it. There is no FOB here. Just co-op. Who cares if it's an internet problem, the game goes down for updates as well which also boots you back to the main menu, it's a joke.

SP had online features even in offline mode, so people that cheated vehicles and such actually affected online wich is PF rank. So MGS community killed all online part of TPP........ some because "Metal gear is an offline game so I can't cheat online by having 1 million of all vehicles to play in SP"....... and some because they will never touch online so it's alright to destroy online features......... nice community huh ? :D

honestly no game is perfect and a nice community? where? seriously, where, because I am pretty sure thats a myth.
So far I was just simply angry about the simple boot it does due to a slight internet issue, if it helps with cheating then fine, but it won't stop you from at least getting a bit mad especially if you were either doing something important, or it reverts you back to a earlier point due to it didn't auto-save before it happened.
Will just say that at least the game isn't exactly "dead"...other then sometimes a 10 min wait for players on the co-op missions

I never have to wait for co-op, just join a group/discord and recruit players, with 2-3 other players you take between 10 to 120 secondes to launch the next match.

Nice community are usualy a small community for games not that much known like an indie game and such, at least no one in the community try to ruin online features by using cheats in order to gain a PvP advantage nor block one of the ending by putting 200 cams and mines in order to make it impossible to steal his nuke....... because MGV as none of that wich is great, if you encounter a cheater in TPP it ruins the game, if you do in MGV just chill until the match is over.

So yeah so far I prefer MGV community over TPP since so far they did have not ruined my game (If I take into account that MGS community spread lies and joined a hatewagon in order to affect the MG community.....yes they are the worst so far).

It actually doesn’t help with cheating at all. There are many here complaining about it.

Unless you already have the game installed and launch steam in offline mode. It automatically launches in offline mode if you have no internet connection. It also allows for offline installation of game backups. So I am pretty sure it doesn't require internet to work.
