by the time you get animal cages, farms, & water tanks you will need to dump food/raw meat because you have so much of it.
and the spoiled food in your storage bin becomes kitchen waste which is a necessary item.
edit:
i too live on Boer Goat Soup for sprint boost and i usually carry 5 or 6 soups on me at any given time. i drink it at 75% and the others don't spoil at all, so i don't know what your deal is....
edit2:
ok, i just had 1 of my soups spoil while I was exploring the Dite dust. I had 5 and now I have 4. Not a big deal, I always have some extra Goat milk for food emergencies xD
The big deal is now I am losing up to 3 for every 1 that I eat when I wasnt before. I would craft between 15-50 soups at a time, keep them on me and use as needed. It only takes like 6 minutes to get to 71% hunger/thirst and now every time I go to eat one, 1-3 have gone bad. Now I have to stop and craft a lot more frequently to avoid simply losing supplies, on top of not being able to keep my speed bonus on. How is that a good addition to the game? Now I am discouraged from stockpiling things because I would lose up to 75% of them. Apparently we arent allowed to have storage units or idk, not have things expire in the first place. Supplies simply going bad for what, realism's sake? Because the game is so realistic right? Time travel, monsters, way beyond macgyver crafting abilities, fully sentient A.I. but hey we gotta pull back the fantasy some and make sure that food goes bad. We dont want things getting too far fetched here...that is a bad design choice.
Soup wasn't becoming spoiled at 70%, it still had the full meter though. So it would still dissappeare at 100% old, but it never became spoiled and never became waste because only spoiled food becomes waste.
So the fix so that soup can spoil pretty much cuts off a third of it's lifespan as well as they did seem to adjust a few foods down by like five to ten minutes.
On the other hand WTF do we get base camp level 3 if we can't build around it because you can't. I bought every freaking storage expansion and still I can't build because you have food, water, and beds taking all the freaking space.
Plus if you build 5 turrets on each side you are doom with one line of fences in front of them.
Also if you try dig 6 with simple turrets is no use because the wanderers elementals can't take any damage from the turrets. So Freaking patches made game worse. They should leave the game the way it was at the beginning
It only regenerates health mate. Soup gets both and 2 is better than one. Because your freaking character can't carry anything because she goes on an attack of asthma
Don't feel like reading a bible, sorry.
Then that's a fair trade, you want more bonuses while sacrificing the life time.
Water don't spoil, smoked food don't spoil. Problem solved
