Survivor motivation?
Is there any way to raise this? It seems like 90% of my survivors are just miserable and no matter what I do they're unhappy. I have more than enough beds, my food water and meds are all at full capacity, I've got livestock farms, music, etc but everyone's mood just seems to be getting worse and worse. Even doing their side missions doesn't seem to improve anything.

Has anyone figured this out? Is it just purely random whether or not they'll be happy?

It's based off on what job you give them to perform in your base. It's basically a trial and error until you find the right job where they are happy. Sometimes reading their past employment helps deciding where they best fit.

Sending them out on expedition's helps with moral (music dosnt affect it at all, I removed it from my base and nothing changed)

Mine are pretty average to good. The only problem ones are the ones with social traits like "uncomfortable around X" (can't be in a group with mostly males or females), "Likes to Try many different things" (loses motivation if in one occupation for too long), "Likes to be by self or in small groups" (loses motivation when there are many other people in that section).

Those people get sent to the "Exploration" squad.

Theres also one thats "Easly effected by surroundings" as in their motivation gain/loss is based on others in the group.

You sure? I've tried putting Reeve and the hispanic dude from the main story in the roles their description reccomends and hell even Nicholas being put in the food division he's still not very happy for me.

What about people with the "noticed by opposite sex"?

Should I just make sure there's a lot of males (if the survivor is female) in the group they're in?

not too sure, I only noticed the really big negative one since two of all my people have rock bottom motivation. But I think it gives a motivation boost to the opposite sex in the same group.

Your problem is you are out of beds xD

My people started getting super-motivated after the end of the story content. I have'nt really done anything differently for my base other than add higher tiers of production buildings, and everyone seems to be in a great mood.

You did read where I said I have more than enough beds, right? I have literally twice as many beds as I have people.

Ups, i skipped after first line. well just change until it says either "adequtly interested", "Full enthusiams" or "not very well?, in later game u can play "defend mainbase" and get job manuals for cremember to boost their abilities permamently. ;)

I log onto co-op for a day, and then the next day they're all unmotivated somehow. They were all motivated prior to this.

Did you forgot to defend your Mainbase? also there was somekind of update, which had you to loose somestuff, in my case, i lost some Animal Cages and Vegetable fields....

Defend? The drill wasn't going on. I only lost crew motivation.

No. My base has always been defended. I've lost some buildings before but I was always online and fighting when I lost them.

@Dumpling I don't think your theory is correct. At least not entirely. There are people I have who are happy but they're "performing poorly" and I have people who are in the correct careers from their description and they're unhappy. And I have people who are unhappy but still doing an adequete job.

I don't understand this at all.

There's 0 consistency.

By any chance, maybe the reason is because you have unused manuals? the yellow reward in MB Defense Rewards
