Why do people even play this crap?
After what Konami did to Kojima?

Here's what I've seen of the game so far (looking at gameplay, other reviews and previews, ect.):
Survive looks good, plays well, and has an interesting story, but that's where all the pro's end here for me.

The gameplay itself looks bland and boring. More often than not I see people place down a fence, watch zombies wander against it and poke at them with a pointy stick. How people find that enjoying, I still question at this moment.
There's looks to be 2 major parts of the game, exploring the world, scavaging for supplies and defending an objective from waves of the horde.

The exploration seems boring and tedious as you literally just walk around through thick fog, pressing a button to pick up the loot and shattering the occasional wanderer's crystal pinhead,
all while being constantly bugged by the need for food and water. (Which I've heard is almost the same, if not worse than day 1 No Man's Sky's constant need for resources)

The defence portion looks just as boring, giving you some time to build walls to keep the horde out, going back to the aforementioned boring poke-fest with the pointy stick. (seriously, it basically the ONLY weapon I saw so far, TTP has a tech-tree for every weapon type)

Now to the points every so-called "SJW" is making a stink about: the store.
The game costs $40 from the start, which seems alright until you see the ingame store.

You're given 1 save-slot, with 3 more available for $10 each.
You have access to 4 loadouts, 4 locked behind $3 each.
There's 1 Unit given to you, 4 more can be bought for $10 each.

These alone bump the price of the game up to $122 and even this won't get you the full game since cosmetics, weapon slots and boosters are also being sold seperately.
At the time of writing you can get MGSV:The Definitive Experience (TPP, GZ and all DLC) for $30.

Why do I bring these up?
If Survive is a success, this'll send a message to the big companies that people want basic gameplay features to be cut and sold seperately.
This is what happened with lootboxes, companies pushing the bounderies of what can be stuffed in them since Overwatch.

If this continues, you can expect things like Anthem trying to sell you custom keybindings, or the next Star Wars game requiring a sub for the ability to sprint (which if you forgot, they did before with The Old Republic)

TL;DR
Survive is boring, overpriced and paves the road for worse practices in the near future.
#F*ckonami

EDIT:
Did some more digging around and it's not going too well for Survive, according to SteamSpy.

Following numbers are the amount of players on the month of launch, followed by their ratings on Steam.
Metal Gear Survive: 5,374 (69%)
Metal Gear Rising: 11,964 (90%)
Metal Gear V:TPP: 90,952 (87%)

granted, Survive still has 3 weeks to get those numbers, but I don't have a lot of hope for it

Because it isn't crap and shady development tactics happen all the time in the world of game production/movie production, yet people don't care.
You can't cry SJW over everything. Be more creative.

What does this have to do with being an SJW? Konami are a scummy publisher who rip consumers off.

I'm sure you do, so coming onto a forum for a game that has already been declared it doesn't really have relevance to the main MGS story and then spouting after what they did to Kojima people shouldn't buy a game from konami makes a lot of sense eh?

If the game didn't have Metal Gear in the title, you wouldn't of even said a thing, or do you plan to boycott all of Konami's products because EA has been shady for far longer than Konami and people still purchase their games. Activision has been shady for far longer, still purchase, Sony has been shady still purchase. Get off your damn hate train.

Why do you have such loyalty to Kojima though? He's made some fun games but I don't know him personally, so I'm not gonna turn down a fun game just because he has issues with Konami. If he does want me to stop playing Konami games he's free to transfer a couple hundred thousand dollars to my bank account though. :^)
