What is the current meta loadout?

Why does it even matter? Everything in this game is a viable choice from what I've noticed.

I don't think there is a meta, just grab whatever can kill stuff at the level the mission is for multiplayer.

SP you just get whatever kill stuff for the level you are fighting against. If you plan on being out there for a while and/or don't have ammo or resources to keep crafting ammo then bow and normal/heavy arrows since you can pick them off the bodies of the enemies you kill.

Can any of you guys tell me how to equip the Broken Bayonet Spear? I have it in my storehouse but when i go to thrusting weapons it's not in the list. When i go to craft it, it also says i have 1 in my storehouse.

Personally I favour sword and bow. Seems the best combo overall.

Machetes are good when wanderers are otherwise distracted because they seem to have the least amount of hit stun, but they can cleave through groups with really fast speed. Two handed weapons are the same way but slower and seems to be a bit more hitstun. One thing I don't think people know is that if you aim way above where the wanderer is, you can get your weapon to swing at head level and get headshots which almost always stun if you can pull it off.

Spears are really good if you can learn the right distance and almost require more aim than the ranged weapons do since normal attacks on the head do a lot of damage. They have the spear twirl as well but I seem to get in bad situations when I try to use it against a group.

Heavy weapons are probably the hardest to use without getting hit, but they stun almost every hit and only take maybe two hits at best to kill most enemies if they don't get out right one shot.

I personally prefer the heavy weapons and spears, but more so the heavy weapons due to just be able to clear entire groups of wanderers with one correctly timed heavy attack, but I do have to say that I usually use bow and guns now because of the equipment I've been getting.

there is a seperate tab on the right called 'junk' all broken items are in this tab, and not under their corresponding weapon type tab.

Strange, Is it actually junk then? When i go to replace my spear, there's no junk tab there.

My friend got a HF Machete (one handed). He says its pretty awesome, so I guess we do have the MGR weapons in teh game.
