I heard that this game charges 10 dollars for a save slot. which is for another character. Isn't the game a paid 40 dollar game and Konami want you to fork over another 10 dollars for a character slot. Is that true? If it then screw Konami, cause that pretty greedy already and I'm probably won't be purchasing it. A game that just got launched and it's already filled with loot boxes and paid to access content.

Yes, you pay 10$ to have a Second Character which you do not even need, unless you are multiple people playing on the same platform and same account.

This is no worse than games like Warframe.

The practice of charging players extra for save slots is really unorthodox and iffy.
But honestly, as a player stand point, there's almost ZERO logical reason for you to want more than 1 character.

All the resources aren't shared between characters as far as I know, so anyone who'd make a new character just to grind their gear back is...

There are 4 free loadout slots for you to customize, so you can't say you want a new character for more loadout as an argument. There are extra 4 pay loadout slots if you really need that many loadouts.

On top of what Lusetifan mentioned, by going the logic of multiple saveslots = multiple players. I'd say that's nice of Konami to charge only $10 for another player's enjoyment without messing your own personal save.

The issue is not the fact whether you use the extra slot or not, it's the fact the developers charge money for it to begin with when the game already costs 39.99. If the game was F2P it would be understandable. If people keep defending stuff like this they will keep doing this and sucking more and more money out of poeple.

Eventually, you will buy the game, then get charged to download it, then get charged to open it, then get charged to create a character, then get charged everytime you open the game afterwards. I mean seriously they will take you down as long as people keep defending a developer that obviously doesn't care about anything other than money considering the game is trash anyways.

Sorry if I offend people that are fans of this particular game, or if you preordered it so you feel you have to justify it and defend it because you are invested into it..but seriously...this game is sh!t. The ai is dumb, it's grindy "hence the booster packs you can buy", and uses old assets from a previous game. They didn't spend much time and money on this game. I played this game for a while over at a buddies house, blah. It's a slap in the face to MGS fans.

I agreed with all you said but until you talked about Warframe. your comparing a free to play game, which is actually "Free to play". and doesn't force you to buy anything. look Warframe is not pay to play or pay to win. Some people say it forces you to buy DLC's which it doesn't because people don't how how the economy system works. Anything is crafted are in the DOJO, which is the clan HQ. Some weapons are plat like 10 maybe, but you can sell plat(in-game currency) by farming relics and sell them for plat on the market.A character slot in Warframe is 20 plat, but it's really easy to sell plat on Warframe so you don't know what your talking about. Saying its the same system is really overboard.

metal gear solid phantom pain GOT only 1 save so whats the problem ? you dont have to pay anything since u get SV coins ingame daily

people that complain about save slots are trolls theres no reason to use another save slot

Warframe has some very scummy practises when it comes to pushing microtransactions. From the 10 plat to finish the build from warframes taking a week to build from RNGesus giving you the middle finger to intentionally padded grind quests and multiple economies (Looking at you, Cetus).

And let's not forget equipment slots, something that is far far more invasive than having a second character in this game. Ohh you want a 5th warframe? Tough freaking luck, pay us or sell one of your current ones.

You can make the case that it's free and you can sort of get platinum if you put the effort into it but you can't deny that Warframe is very much after your wallet. Far more than this game is.

Except Warframe is designed in many ways to inconvenience the player to such an extreme degree that spending platinum seems prefable. If you wish to unlock something without mtx you'll have to contend with artificial barriers not related to gameplay. Like 72 hour build times on warframes and that's not even counting build times on individual components.

And despite whether or not you can trade for plat doesn't change the fact that Warframe charges for Warframe slots. Whether or not you choose to pardon them doesn't change this fact.

In Survive there are no scummy barriers like this. Also Warframe is a glitchy mess with substandard gameplay while Survive is a well-designed, polished joy to play. Give me Survive and its devs over Warframe and DE anyday.
