Field Manuals
To upgrade your base crew, you need a corresponding field manual. Has anyone found one yet? Are they something inside a container, or just laying around?

I'm way into the end game content now, but have yet to find any :/.

Haven't found one yet, but it sounds like something you would find just from exploring like the lock boxes and the parasite things that hold boxes.

Maybe. I've found a load of the boxes. Got loads of the cassettes and armour colours. Just not found the manuals.

I'm actually starting to think their locked into the base digger, similarly to all other base specific items (buildings, defenses etc). If that's the case, it's abit of a nightmare, since one wave of the base digger takes 24 hours :/

I just finished a base defense, my second time doing the 12 hour interval one and I got a field manual for development team.

You can get manuals from mining at base.

Ah, i thought so lol. Kinda of a nightmare. I'm only at phase 2 of the base digger :/

manuals are the epic loot, meaning the gold rewards. you can get them from hard salvage, altough rare even in those. you also get them from boss creatures (big mouth etc.) and base mining.

Yeah, the Field Manuals are the epic drops given in Base Dig Plan 3 & 4.

Protip: Don't bother with Base Dig Plan 4, it doesnt unlock anymore missions (only 4 wtf?!) and seems to give the same loot as Plan 3, plus 3 only has a 12 hour wait instead of 24.

Spent $10 in steam funds from selling PUBG items to rush them, regretted it immedaitely after finding out 4 was the last one for now.

Also infuriates me since it means that there currently isn't a known way to unlock purple tier base facilities.

yeah, hopefully they add more in two days. Since they're doing maintanence every tuesday.
