Saving??????
I don't understand on when I die, I have to load last save? Why couldn't be like going back to home base where you drop your looted stuff and you can pick it up later? Doesn't make sense and its annoying lol

It's generally the last time you went to base or finished a mission (take the second one with a pinch of salt).

I generally just end up back to base either before picking up current mission or with the mission finished.

Imagine if the game saved when you have 0% hunger, no food and low health...
You could get stuck into an infinite loop of deaths.

Because you died, when you die you go back to your last save wich is at base camp, so while you explore better come back alive or else you'll pay the price.

This game tries to have a lengthened playtime, by artificially creating a need to return to home base more often. Not only do you risk more losses by doing multiple missions without returning, but your oxygen gets more costly the longer you remain in the dust. It is trying to get you to waste time returning and going back out again and I hate it.

I am all for losing stuff, it is a survival game, but a checkpoint after a completed mission at least would be nice. Especially when you have done 4 missions like I did, only to find the guy in a rescue mission get swarmed by 20 wanderers as you get there and die before you can even reach them.

I made a mistake. Turns out you can go back to base camp and drop all of your stuff where you died instead of loading your last save. it seems hidden, but when you scroll down when you die, you can go back and pick your stuff up lol
