Hi! I'm Andrey, a solo developer from Kazakhstan, and We Dig the Moon is the game I've been working on. Yesterday its Steam page went live, so this is the first post here.

A first-person mining game for 1-4 players. Solo works too.

Your ship crashed on the Moon. You dig ore, sell it to the company that owns the ship, and spend the money on better gear so you can dig deeper. You start with a pickaxe, then get drills, explosives and a jetpack. Keep an eye on oxygen and battery, or you won't make it back up.

\[КАРТИНКА]

The deeper you go, the worse it gets. Giant worms, beetle swarms and rocks that would happily take a bite out of you. Further down there are abandoned bases and alien structures nobody was supposed to find.

And back on the ship there's Caretaker, the ship's AI. It comments on every mistake you make and always takes the company's side.

• Online co-op for up to 4 players, full solo play

• Procedural voxel terrain you can tunnel through

• Pickaxe, drills, explosives, jetpack

• Worms, beetles and hungry rocks

• Abandoned bases and alien artifacts

• A sarcastic corporate AI

The release date isn't set yet. I'll post every real update here: new footage, progress, and any chance to play before release.

If the game looks like your kind of thing, adding it to your wishlist and following the page helps a lot. Steam will also let you know when it comes out.

I'd love to hear what you think about the trailer and the page. What's clear right away, and what isn't? Leave a comment below.

Thanks for reading!

Andrey, Crumbslinger
