Please note that some high end integrated graphics chips and modern laptop class discrete GPUs may work, but have not been tested, nor are they officially supported by Capcom. If you do meet the minimum specifications but not the recommended specifications, you may want to try turning down the graphics settings, if you haven't already.

What do I do if I have an Nvidia graphics card that exceeds the system requirements and I'm experiencing long load times?

Long load times may occur on Nvidia graphic cards if they are not updated to GeForce Game Ready 376.09 WHQL driver[www.nvidia.com] or better. For the latest Nvidia drivers, please click here.[www.nvidia.com]

Try the following steps for any connectivity-related concerns:

1. To connect to a Steam friend, go into the Steam friends list, navigate to a friend playing Dead Rising 4 and select the "Join Game" option.
2. To invite a Steam friend, go to lobby in multiplayer then go click on Invite and navigate to a friend in friends list and invite to game.
3. If you are unable to connect, then restart Steam and the game and try again.

Why do all the zombies have Servbot heads on them?

This is because the My Bloody Valentine Pack is probably enabled. You can disable this by doing the following:

1. Go to Main Menu
2. Turn the My Blood Valentine Pack DLC off. This is located on the bottom left of the screen.
Note: On an Xbox 360 / Xbox One controller, this is tied to the 'X' button.
3. You will know the DLC is disabled when the red bloody border is not present on the Main Menu.
4. This will disable Servbot heads and special costumes for enemies.

Click the links below for screenshots that demonstrate which DLC you might have enabled:

My Blood Valentine Pack DLC enabled

Stocking Stuffer DLC enabled

Some players blackscreen/crash is fixed by installing/repairing the redistributable files for the game:
Located in: Steam\steamapps\common\DeadRising4\_CommonRedist
Install/repair "DXSETUP" & "vc_redist.x64"

^This redist folder has since been removed, believed because Steam now does checks/downloads for them.

Programs with overlays, such as Teamviewer may cause a blackscreen or crash. Anyone using such programs & facing similiar issues should try disabling them.

I have to turn off team viewer because it add an overlay on the game, who produce a crash !

Players receiving a DX11 error on Win7 should try installing the following redistributable:
