i cant download the game it says there's a virus it called TR/Patched.gen

any fix for this problem?

Hello!

My virus scanner(Avira) also detected it. After I put the file into quarantine. It said "disk write error" in steam, I clicked the download button in steam and continued downloading it but eventually it stopped me from downloading it.

I restored TR/Patched.Gen in Avira, restarted steam and resumed the download. It's now downloading continuously and after it's done I might run the scan again and remove the file but...

What is this file and if I delete it will it not allow the game to run? I'm afraid of having to re-download this game since it's 45.3 Gb..

I keep getting "Disk Write Error" since I quarantined TR/Patched.Gen. I'm going to see if I can finish the download anyways and also see if I can run the game.

umm yeah just ignore it it's nothing

if the anti scanner says its a virus right click on it and select always ignore

Yeah, it's too late for me, it wouldn't download so I had to delete it and start over. I was like 98 percent done... reminds me of when I downloaded Batman Arkham Knight. Once it reached 100% it restarted X(
