Multiplayer or Mods for Multiplayer?

I'm interested in buying the game within the Steam Publisher sale hours, but is there anyway that at least Local or Online Co-op can be patched in so 2 people can play?

I wouldn't know how to help you there. But I do know that there are mods being created for 3.0 even today, with a handful of character improvement mods and some new content uploaded on Nexus. Also there is a YouTube channel called Infiniteer Adventures which has kept tabs on all things Disney Infinity made by the community. He'll showcase people's toy boxes and mods and overall, it is a great place to see how Disney Infinity is holding up after its discontinuation. These dedicated fans and modders have my support, and I hope this community will continue to thrive so much so that we may one day have fan servers in which we all can enjoy Infinity again to the fullest.

Unfortunately, it looks like Disney and Steam shut down their online multiplayer servers. If I wanted to do local co-op, the only option I have would be doing couch co-op in the same location as my friend.

Such a shame really, because the worlds can feel massive but lonely without someone to share it with.

If the fans and modders someday manage to make online servers - I'd love to see it!
