Early game GP acquisition - any tips? (No spoilers, please.)
Long story short:
- I used the provided party for a bit.
- I want to make a fresh party.
- I need GP to equip them so they can do well. (They're not all compatible with what my main party was using)

Any pointers for turning a fast profit? For the record, my current progress is...

Main Party: Level 6
Main Mission: Colossal Variant Spotted (Let's just say... my main party can't handle that mission.)

If it matters: I do have access to Monk if using that can help the GP grind.

I found that camping the top level of the sewer and the 25th floor of that building with a full encounter gauge (If it's unlocked for you yet -3-) and that Hachi power weights thing that adds +5 to enemy levels means a lot of dosh and experience for actually not that much increased risk. Although at L6 you're a bit low for that kinda thing so... >>

It's not going to be thousands per battle, but it's something. Just watch out for those stupid-ass Hell Hounds in the sewers; they'll hit even harder.

If you dun has the encounter gauge yet then at the least that Hachi key item will make enemies give quite a bit more exp and money for, in these early dungeons, little change in difficulty. :3

3 samurai front row, one healer, one academic and one mage.
once you get the first skill for samurai, you're in for easy GP farming. it's called quick attack, it hit every enemies in the front row.
either defend or use normal attack with the mage academic and healer, you only need them for their support skill outside of battle or emergency heal in battle. Archer aren't that good and float item are expensive...
and.... hold A once the first turn is done (by default, cursor is set to memory in the options), use Neo Chain if possible (item, academic gets the skill later on tho)

just make sur every samurai has at least one weapon with the most common or dangerous enemies in the area you want to farm. If you go to the High Rise, get Toxin affix for Beast or Sedative for Inhuman. If dualwielding, get both. Dualwield might get pricey if you want to boost both weapon and Katana arent that cheap/frequent to come by so it might get you a slower start.
If you go to Gakuto Sewers first floor, you'll encouter almost exclusively Goblin and toads. Beast and inhuman once again. on BF1 you'll find mostly Beast and occasionnal Inhuman.
I doubt you are strong enough for that, but in High Rise floor 25, you'll encounter a lot of Siren, a Wanted Variant of Beast family that drops minimum of 400GP and give a lot of XP. However, she is quite strong and has about 500-700 hp (just an estimate) and rarely comes alone. Floor 25 is also packed with Poison Hound and Poison Mantis, both armed with ... yeah, poison effect. Also, Mantis have a low chance of instant-kill every time they hit.

Outside of battle, activate every permanent buff available to you. though below level 15 you'll most likely only have Anti Shuffle and Enfloat. Academic has 2 buff that might save your life by mitigating damages received by a lot called Neo something or other.

also, something to note : with your initial party, make sure to unequip everything and deposit all GP in the Developpment area "GP Storage". Because if you dont, you will not be able to have access to it from your new party.

Once you gain access to a place called Babyl Sphere, that's most likely where you'll farm. It's packed with Construct enemy with occasional beast (Wyrm, you might want to avoid them unless you have above 70 defense). the most common are the "corpse machine" ... also known as Drill. they have very low damage and about 150-200 hp but they can stun and paralyse quite often. They always come in numbers, they drop useful item but XP and GP are stupidly low even if you kill 30 of them in a single fight. Only "Rare" and "Mega" drill are worth killing, these are Wanted Variant found a bit deeper in Babyl.
Be wary of Eelevern as well. they hit AOE and have a fairly good chance of inflicting various status effect such as poison, paralysis, stun, silence and sleep. They tend to appear as a large group, have low hp and have decent XP/GP.

But at this point, you'll probably like High Rise 25F more. Especially by chaining Siren. You can get over 50k GP per half hour. That's what I did and I had no problem.

I highly suggest NOT to make a monk or Warrior. They might look strong but they are virtually useless. Samurai and knight are the only "good" dps/tank.
Also it might be a small thing but make sure you don't rely on shop function too much.
Always let your Academic appraise unknown items and cast heal spells then use most cheap option to recover in labo.

Actually, that 3 samurai grind idea is exactly what I wanted to work towards with the new party. I had noticed they get the same group-targeting skill I spammed a lot in Wizardry LoLS, and defenses seemed to really not matter (taking very heavy hits constantly; may as well do more damage and take less hits, right?)

(Also, a big reason I wanted money is because my academic kept failing to appraise every little thing and I was getting sick of 90% of my inventory being unappraised. Was still using starting armor.)

Not just INT, Luck have effect on how good your Academic does his/her job. If you think he/she fails too often, consider rise Luck or reroll new character.

Thanks for pointing that out. I wasn't sure what stats my Academic would benefit most from and was actually heavily considering pumping pure phys to make him harder to kill. I've actually rolled an entire new team - academic included - to keep everyone on the same page, so to speak. I'll put that advice to good use!

But I helped too, right? ; ;

I wasn't sure if it'd be spoilery to mention, but I found the fastest way to make easy exp and moneys was to max out the encounter gauge and camp floor 25 of that place super hard. Siren becomes a regular enemy after a while, and she's worth like 300 gold/exp for fairly low risk. I suppose if you equipped stuff that did extra damage against whatever she is, you could farm pretty hard.

You did. My net was derping out and I couldn't get a long post through, so I tried to keep it short. Sorry if you felt excluded.

Uuuu... ; ;

Just be careful of Hell Hounds, okay? I'm sure those bastards have bonus damage against humans or something... >>
