Its a MObile Sub Simulator after all...
As the odds of the enemy torpedo actually hitting the MOSS is pretty low, as long as it is chasing your decoy, you're obviously fine.
The only other issue with the MOSS is that your own homing torpedo will acquire your decoy instead. Then (if it's the advance MOSS) and the wires are still intact and even if the wire has broken on the torpedo, you can steer the advance MOSS torwards the eneny vessel and if it's a sub, you may cause a "red on red" hit (this may have been removed in v1.09E, though.)
Nice to hear someone has had success with this tactic, I have tried it but I don't recall it working in my case. Still, it was fun to see those destroyers drop countermeasures and start dancing.
