Has anyone won the South China Sea?

The AI is not overpowered. Cold Waters takes more thought than point and click. It's not Dangerous Waters, but it will still punish you for mistakes.

I have yet to beat the new campaign... granted I have been editing it to make it more challenging than stock. I can handle warships, I can handle subs... but...

No you get me wrong ... I love a long war, but just how you lot end the game so quickly is baffeling, I am only doing the missions given and it's still going on, maybe it's the elite settings I play on that extends the torture

After I started heading out with just a bare minimum loadout of weapons to catch the targets I used to miss before, when I insisted on a full weapons load before putting to sea, things just went along quicker...

Also, getting a total of three land strikes this time around, allowed me to top off the boat with torpedoes and missiles a lot of times... and as I don't use the Moss, these chanses to top off the boat with weapons, ment I had weapons to pass a lot of missions in one outing...

So true... and a long war could win me the CMO... Or do missing missions set you back when it comes to medals?

Don't get me wrong, the Moss is probably good as decoys go... might even keep the MPA off my back... Maybe I'll try a couple on my next grand tour...

You think South China Sea is hard? Try playing the Russian 2004 campaign.

I got killed only once in the South China Sea, and that was by a Bear in very shallow waters by depth bombs.

I steer clear of the modded campaigns, as they seem to cause a lot of hickups when updates are released.

But I do respect the work that's put into them.

Have they added the real Akula model and the new LA and the Seawolf to it now, or are the modded boats, made up of bits and pieces from other boats as before?
