Addition: I missed the part about the torps going under the ships. I’ve seen this happen with some smaller ships, I guess their draft isn’t deep enough for the torp to hit? I’ve not tried this but you could try editing the “FixedRunDepth” in the weapons.txt file to a lower value then 15. I’ve only noticed this phenomena on some ASW patrol boats (I think the Poti) not against any ships that are my primary target. As a result I don’t worry about it because I just fire Mk. 37’s at escorts (Kashins, Kotlins, Rigas & Potis). The 37’s will never hit the escorts if they run but they don’t need to since escorts are not mission critical targets and all you need is to run them off for safety (and the mk.37 is honestly better for that role).
One of my problems is that I was trying to take out all enemy ships, rather than just going for my targets.I guess im too used to the 1984 campaign.
Also ill give the increased distance a try
