Why cant you add Royal Navy Subs, Swedens gotland class etc to the game properly please

Just an idea but why not add other countrys submarine and add more to the campaign it seem a little pigeon hold just have two countries only when there where many submarines on patrol in the cold war and before that

Right now, the only way to add "new" submarine models in to the game, is by modifying allready existing sub models in game by moving around on objects like planes, rudders and sonar domes and such. Another trick used by modders is changing the colour sceemes around.

This has resulted in a couple of decent attempts to create new sub models, like the Churchill class, but as you, I find them lacking.

The only way to bring the Ula, Kobben and Gotland class subs to life, is by properly 3D modeling them, and also bestow upon them the limitations battery power and AIP give these sub classes.

Adding new 3D models to the game is something only the developer can do at this point, and sadly, KFG has not revealed any plans to add new models in the forseable future.

We can always hope they will open up this possibility to the modding community at some point, but right now, I'm not even sure that is possible with the current game build...

The Playable Subs Mod trully is great fun...

But it won't give you real 3D models of the subs GusGelber and my self are hinting at...

The mods are, no doubt, a great addition to the game, but all the new subs on the NATO side are tweaked subs of different classes made to look like other classes of subs.

The Churchill class, for instance, is a tweaked Skipjack...

Not bashing the mods at all, but what we are talking about are new 3D models of, for instance, the Ula and Kobben class submarines operated by Norway, or the Gotland class operated by Sweden...

To get this, the modders would need the possibility to add new 3D artwork to the game.
They currently don't have this option...

Yeah, I would welcome the additions of all subs belonging to all Nato countries that would be involved in the North Sea and the Barents Sea theatre...

As an ultimate mod, slightly different story lines, with medals and titles matching, say The Royal Navy, or The Royal Norwegian Navy would be imensly cool as well...
