No matter which one you fire at, the missile will go to it's predetermined target...
Be prepared to fire four TLAM's at one harbour, only to see one or two of them to head towards the other harbour anyway, as they are pre-programmed.
Also, one or more might end up in a hillside, but don’t worry... You will pass the mission anyway...
- Dolphin 38
Before, you fired at the circle and they flew their course. But, you had to actually hit the targets to get credit. Now, as we all know, many times the missiles would hit hillsides. So, no joy at the end of the mission.
Now, you can just fire them and get immediate credit for all missiles.
It makes TLAM missions a bit boring (shoot missiles and run). But, I guess it was an easier change to make than to fix the missile tracking logic so that all of them would actually hit their targets and not crash into hills.
