Error when starting a new campaign

When attemping to start a new 1984 campaign the screen goes blank then a red text line is in th middle of the screen with to options below it. Quit or Exit which both do not work. Unable to determaine what is cause this issues, The red text line says the following

e://C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/cold waters/coldwaters_Data/StreamingAssets/default/campaign\campaighn001\language_en\events\event_award_navy_legion_of_merit.txt


Note: I only wrote what is visable on the screen and know it may be cut off in the front of the line. I also do have a screen show just not sure how to add it to this post.

Incompatible mods, other player reporting same problem.

Try this fix and let me know if it works for you:
Go to this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cold Waters\ColdWaters_Data\StreamingAssets\default\campaign\campaign002\language_en\events

In that folder find the file:
event_award_legion_of_merit

Copy it, and paste it right into the same folder so a new file is made which will be called:
event_award_legion_of_merit - copy

Rename that file to:
event_award_navy_legion_of_merit

That should clear it up. The problem is incompatible mods.

Can you tell me which mods you are using right now?

I am currently using the Los Angeles class VLS mod and lowered water visability mod. Which now everything works find I thought I removed the other mods - Longer Campaign and Refined Sonar Countermesures but it seems I must of missed something. Because I uninstalled all of them and only reinsalled the LA VLS and Visability mod.

Yeah, just apply the fix outlined above. The problem stems from the VLS mod using an incompatible campaign file to add the VLS boats to the campaign.
