I loved the fact that you could walk around in the sub, the game had its issues for sure but i enjoyed it anyway.

Correct, there are no sub interiors, stations (other than periscope view), or first person view.

This game is very different from Silent Hunter. For one, SH is a WW2 era sub sim whereas this game is a Cold War era sub sim. So the sub technology and tactics will be very different. Also, SH attempted to be a realistic sim that puts you in the sub, hence the different stations and be able to walk around in your sub. This game focuses more on tactical level thinking with some realism.
