The Glacis playtest is open. It's free, it covers all of Act 1, and it runs the latest version of the game.

Six main operations on battlefields shaped from real terrain, with allied expeditions in between. You can't block the enemy's road, but your engineers can move the earth: raise the ground to bend their path, put your guns on the heights, and bring new weapons out of the lab.

This is a test version. Expect rough edges, and expect things to change before release. Progress from the playtest isn't guaranteed to carry over to the full game.

Press "Request Access" on the Glacis store page. We're letting players in a group at a time, and Steam will email you when you're in. The playtest installs as a separate app, Glacis Playtest.

There's a new build, and Steam updates the playtest for you. What's changed:

• A rebuilt research lab: an era ruler that shows how far the enemy has come, a tech tree across three generations, and a file with a combat clip for every weapon.

• Towers earn veterancy from their own kills — rings on the barrel show the rank.

• Enemies now move in eight directions, so the roads you shape play out differently.

• A new campaign map: one continent, rebuilt from the ground up.

• The support panel now gives every call its own slot.

This build starts a new campaign. Progress from the earlier build doesn't carry over.

When you've played, please answer five quick questions — it takes about two minutes:
https://glacistd.web.app/feedback/?b=26244688

We especially want to hear:

• where the difficulty felt wrong — too easy, or a wall

• anything you didn't understand: the lab, height and line of sight, or the two things you have to hold

• how it ran on your PC or Mac — slowdowns, stutter, crashes

For now we collect test reports only in the United States. There, the first time you start the playtest, the game asks whether it may send test reports: battle replays and the game log, with no name or Steam account attached. If you say no, nothing is sent, and you can change your mind in Settings at any time. Everywhere else, the game doesn't ask and sends nothing. The feedback form above is open to everyone. Details are in the privacy notice[glacistd.web.app].

• Windows 10 or later (64-bit), or macOS 12 or later, with 3 GB of free space.

• Keyboard and mouse, or a trackpad. Gamepads aren't supported.

• You're welcome to stream it and share screenshots.

• We'll post here before the playtest ends.

Thanks for helping us test Glacis.
