Hello, Rimfarers!

We rebuilt the jump to hyperspace from scratch. Now the drive charges up, the stars stretch into lines, a flash and a shockwave tear through space — and your ship dives into a blazing energy tunnel, all with brand-new sound.

Here's what else arrived in the last two updates:

• Escort a trader through a pirate ambush — stay close, or the job is lost.

• Passengers in a hurry, with their own whims: some tip, some grumble.

• Reconnaissance of distant planets, salvage from drifting wrecks and patrols of pirate-infested systems.

• Deadlines are real: miss one and the client keeps a forfeit; finish fast and earn a +15% bonus.

• Fleet reserve ranks. Serve a race and rise from trusted captain to reserve admiral — shipyard discounts, better pay, a warship hull as a gift and an admiral's salary.

• Rival Rimfarers as partners. Call one in to hunt a pirate together, hire them as cover, or sell them your cargo right in space.

• Help in a crisis. Bring food to a famine or medicine to an epidemic — the governor pays extra, and big help makes the news.

• Afterburner (F). Push your engine for extra speed — the better the engine, the faster — at the cost of hull every day.

Rimfarers now speaks English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese.

Thank you for every report sent with F8 — this update fixes all of them: the shipyard tooltip is no longer see-through, the black market no longer goes blank, cards in space don't overlap, the galaxy map opens right from the port, Space flies to the selected target, music volume changes as you drag, and more.
