Elliot or Jusis ?
Can't decide between these 2. Elliot has regen buff and instant heal also he is nuke number 2. Jusis has best buff, delay etc.
Or just don't care about them and use someone else instead?

My favorite time is Rean Emma Luara. can't decide who to use as 4 member.

I always found Jusis to be extremely useful and Elliots buff later in the game rather underwhelming so i would go with Jusis and Emma as casters.

Though in the end you should use the members you actually like since you can finish the game well enough with any group combination
Sugoi Aug 30, 2017 @ 3:20am
Jusis has the completely OP noble command and excellent stats all around, but Elliot's HP regen is great for bosses. Why not just have both in your active party and swap them in-out as necessary? There's a reason that's a function of this battle system.

You don't need a dedicated healer in this game. So you shouldn't worry about having Elliott or Emma in the main team. Just use whoever you want.

My personal choice for the 4th spot is Alisa. She's a good endgame support/caster/healer. She can refill CP for the team, good enough magic damage dealer, for healing you give her a Seraphic Ring and keep her default Angel master quartz. Your team will be almost immortal.

If its about being full support i go with elliot just because of surrounding beat alone. Lol.
But still if u want a better caster i believe emma is the perfect choice. She can cast art really fast, have plenty of ep and really good MAG stat.

Till the last chapter you won't be able to choose your own party.
IMO every character in the game is good, there isn't an useless one. I'd always pick the one I need to pump up link level some more.

As @Sugoi said, don't think much, use both, swap when needed. Or... Did I tell you I actually had both Elliot and Jusis active in my party against the final boss? :)
And of course Emma and Alisa were reserves! What do you mean why? I had link with them level 5 already. :)

pick whoever you like,
trust me, you can win with any combination

if you want something objective though, go for jusis, since you already have emma. Jusis is good all rounder with great buff. He can be second mage, second frontline, second support, all at the same time.

Its actually ridiculous how much stats jusis gains per level...

104,4 Hp per level
5,6 Attack per level
4,4 Defense per level
5,8 Art Attack per level
5,8 Art Defense per level

He has the highest overall Stat growth of all characters in the game even more than Millium who has pretty much the same growth with less HP per level...

He actually has more Attack than for example Fie around level 45 and his Arts Stat is higher than Elliots, while he also has the fourth best speed in the game and the best buff in the game....his only drawback is the terrible s-craft but you dont want to use your cp on that anyways.

With stats like that you normally would be the main character...

tbh, even with 0 stat gain i would still take him with me cuz Noble Command op
+25% STR/ATS/SPD is ridiculously op, especially for that CP cost

Well yeah thats true as well =D

Elliot I felt was never really useful except in the very beginning due to resounding beat. Jusis was useful until I maxed moebius and got the later recipes for 50% food buffs. Machias is the best by far end game because of his last craft. I usually always use Rean, Laura, and Machias in the later chapters with whoever in the last slot, usually Alisa for CP battery.

I usually switch member regularly, so no one get left behind lol. But in my 2nd playthrough Elliot doesnt really useful.

I haven't finished the game yet - should be near the end of chapter 4 now, but yeah, it seems to me Elliot is getting a bit less useful than he was at the start (same for Emma probably?). After struggling for a long part of the game, it seems the team is beginning to shape up pretty well, and I ended up running with Fie as a dodge-tank (which seems ridiculously OP), Laura makes for a pretty strong beatstick - especially linked with Fie, since the later basically plays all the time), Rean to provide some buffs on allies and debuffs on enemies (I suspect Jusis might be even better at it - as mentionned Noble Command is really, really good) and Elliot and Machias... were there.

Basically, it seems to me Elliot shines in a team that struggles. But since this chapter was the first one where everything seemed to just turn right (I managed to take no damage against two bosses for the very first time), the healer ended up with not a lot of things to do - I'd say his main contribution ended up analyzing the enemies.
thenirks Aug 31, 2017 @ 8:15am
Yeah, dodge is really op in the first game (also in the second but slightly less so than in the first, even though fie starts the second game with 30% natural dodge chance instead of 5%) Only real drawback is that you have to commit a lot of slots in the Arcus, or "waste" a few turns insight buffing for it to be reliable.

And dont worry about Machias. While i dont like using him he always has some uses as an ailment bot due to his AoE Attack and useful healing craft early on and late in the game he gets one of the strongest craft in the game.

I always wonder about Laura...i pretty much always use her when she is available but at least in the first game iam not even sure why...she has the strongest Attack stat in the game but its only ever so slightly higher than Gaius or Milliums (not sure exactly but Millium might even have more than her around level 90+...not that it matters) she has in my honest opinion god afwul crafts and rather mediocre default Arcus Slots (double water). Her S-Craft is also worse than Milliums. She has nothing that makes her unique as a combat character like for example Jusis Noble Command, Elliots Resounding Beat, or increased dodge chance on her ultimate weapon like Fie and Rean, also no delay craft if i remember right...

Additionally while i certainly dont dislike her, she is not one of my favorites either and she is still always, always in my team....i wonder why

Well, Fie is currently running around with the Master Quartz giving her insight for a few turns at the start of the battle. And who also increases dodge chances. So all I had to do was to reach 50%, which is far easier. Of course, if a fights drags on, it'll become less reliable, but so far, it didn't happen.

As for Laura, I'd say she seems like the textbook definition of "boring but practical". You're right in that she doesn't really have something "unique" when it comes to crafts (I'd say "so far", but odds are good you finished the game while I didn't, so...), but I don't really think she needs too. Hitting like a truck seems good enough ,and I kinda like her crafts, basic as they may be. The first one is good to soften up a target with high defenses (and it's a delay craft... i think?), and the next two are reliable AOE (and since, as mentioned, she hits like a truck, it works out). Pairing her with Fie allows to maximize the advantage, since each time Fie plays (which is pretty often, there's a chance she'll trigger an attack from Laura). If you buffed her strength, this can quickly adds up to a lot of damages.

Of course, I agree it'd probably work almost as well with Gaius (who also has the advantage of a better S-Craft)

You are probably right with that. I actually hate using Insight for Fie, except for when she buffs herself with it because later in the game it can easily happen that she is taking 3 turns before your other chars are taking one, which leads to the annoying situation that the partymember resposible for the buffs has kind of no chance to do anything else if you dont want them to run out on her. (I think Falco Master quartz gives Insight as a spell to use as well right? So thats somewhat convenient)
