Anyway, the first Sky game is where the shared continuity starts. All the Trails games take place on the same continent within a few years of each other. They are not connected to the other Legend of Heroes games (though there are theories that the Gagharv Trilogy take place in the same world but on a different continent--but that's just speculation, there is no evidence to support that, yet at least).
If you've played the first Cold Steel already you should play the older ones while waiting for CSII's PC port. They recently had Turbo Mode backported into them, so there isn't really a better time to get into them, in my opinion.
Without spoilers, let's just say that Ouroboros is a recurring 'Society' throught the games, and while it's fine to jump into the start of an Arc, it's best to go back and play all the other Arcs eventually since there are things you won't understand without playing them all. (an Arc is each trilogy/duology of Trails games that take place in a different nation with a different cast)
Oh you're right. I had totally forgotten about that whole surprise revelation of the organization's existence at the very end of FC.
And so began one of the greatest game series ever made.... ;)
I was just asking if Ouroboros existed in the first 5 Legends of Heroes games as well, or if they made their first appearance in Trails in the Sky. I've wondered for a while, because I feared I was missing story and background information about them and their members without playing the games prior to Sky. Thanks for answering. ^^
Nah, it's Revolver Ocelot.
But, the President of Falcom is a big Gagharv fan, so it could just be easter eggs and cameos, and nothing more. We propably won't know for sure until either the Trails series ends, Gagharv gets remade, or both.
